Not content with just appearing on small and silver screens, actors want to pop up on consoles too, like Kit Harington, aka Jon Snow from Game of Thrones, who looks set for a trip to the virtual world

“GoT” goes “CoD.” At least that’s what was suggested by a video making the rounds on the net. It shows series favourite Kit Harington on a visit to the game developer Activision to participate in a new part of the successful saga Call of Duty. Thanks to motion capture his face will soon appear on the screens of millions of gamers. 

Since then it’s been confirmed Harington will be cast as the dastardly villain in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

He is not the first actor who lends his face or his voice to a video game. The booming gaming industry often enrols famous faces for their virtual characters. We’ve collected some of the most unusual and surprising performances.
