There’s much to see and do to get you in the Christmas spirit in London this year. The famous Oxford Street Christmas lights feature 1,778 snowball-like decorations and a whopping 750,000 LED light bulbs.
Popular tourist hotspots like Leicester Square and the Southbank Centre are hosting their own takes on the Christmas market tradition with food stalls and carol singers, while Broadgate ice rink offers group bookings, and skating lessons.
The Coppa Club, on the other hand, has taken a unique approach to Yuletide: igloos.
The igloos will allow guests to stay warm and cosy while they wine and dine under the bright lights of the capital’s skyline, with stunning views of iconic sights including Tower Bridge and the Shard.
The custom-made igloos are fully-furnished and lit, and come complete with heating, sheepskin blankets and speakers. Available to guests either for private hire or on a walk-in basis, two of the igloos house large tables for up to eight people, while the others have smaller tables and lounge areas.
As well as the standard Coppa selection menu, guests can choose from a new range of festive cocktails including a maple old-fashioned with bourbon and syrup, a spiced berry caipirissima and mulled wine. Christmas dishes on offer include alternatives to the usual festive fare, from roasted sea bass to porchetta and slow-cooked duck leg.
Traditionalists needn’t worry too much, though, as Coppa also offer a roast turkey with all the trimmings. From November 16 until the end of December, a special Christmas menu is available, priced at £29.95.
