The world-famous DJ reveals her 5 favourite clubs in the world and why they’re so special

Warung Beach Club – Itajaí, Brazil

This club holds a special place in my heart. I’ve played there five times now, both in the temple and outside in the garden. I’ve played almost every time of night and morning and with different artists each time.  Every one of them has been magical in their own way and the energy is always through the roof.  The people who own it really care about making it an unforgettable experience for both the DJs and the crowd.

Blue Parrot – Playa del Carmen, Mexico

I think anyone who has ever gone to Playa or The BPM Festival has many happy memories of this legendary beach club. Like the festival, I have watched it develop over the last nine years.  So much talent has played there and countless people have danced with their feet raw in the sand until the sun comes up up over the blue sea. It saddens me to no end that senseless violence destroyed a place built for love of music and bringing people together. I will never forget playing there or the happy times I had.

DC-10 - Ibiza, Spain

From the legendary Monday Circoloco parties which gave the club it’s international acclaim, to the new era of Paradise on Wednesdays, DC-10, which used to be an old airport hangar, this club has evolved into a mecca of underground music. It was a dream to play there from the moment I walked in and luckily for the past three summers I’ve had the opportunity to play both the terrace and the club room for Jamie Jones’s Paradise Party.

Welcome to Elrow, the world's craziest club night

A taxi pulls up in front of Space and two well-built men get out: a bare-chested pharaoh with a long beard and a green neon nemes (a striped Egyptian headcloth), and a Viking with a horned helmet, bright red tunic, and a plastic sword in a full-grain leather belt.

Elrow - Barcelona, Spain

At a time when everything was getting so serious, they really put the fun back into the club experience here. I’ve never seen a production like it. Every detail is thought out – from larger-than-life puppets to the toys they throw into the crowd, the experience is like no other. Now that they’ve taken the party on the road you may be able to catch it in a city near you, but nothing beats going to the original club in Barcelona.

Panther Room – New York City, USA

Nestled above Output in Williamsburg, the Panther Room feels like its own cozy piece of sound and dancefloor heaven. It has a raw vibe on the dancefloor but you can grab a proper specialty cocktail or stand by a fireplace while listening to some of the best up-and-coming DJs. I love playing there because the sound and the booth are on point, plus }re so close to the people – the energy is amazing.
