Which stars do we find the most interesting? What were the biggest news events we wanted to know more about? And what exactly is Brexit? Here are the things Brits searched the most for on Google this year

Every year Google releases its annual list of the most searched things of the year. Divided into different categories, the list gives us an intriguing look into what British Internet users really find important, and it also provides an unorthodox look at the year itself. 

From “What is Brexit?“ to “Where is Brussels?“ From Pokemon Go to Paul Pogba, these are the things British people desperately wanted to know about in 2016.

Sorry Pikachu, football rules Google. EURO 2016 was the most-searched word in 2016, finished way ahead of the Olympics, the other big sporting event of the year. The rest of the list is made up of politics, deaths and DEADPOOL.
