The famous voices of video game characters
The starter pack and its expansions feature a cast of thousands including, recently, Fantastic Beasts’ Eddie Redmayne and The Hoff in Knight Rider. But the biggest voice, literally, is Brian Blessed.
Peter Dinklage is known for his eloquent delivery as Tyrion Lannister in Game Of Thrones, but his voiceover in 2014’s Destiny was famously wooden, spawning a meme based on just one line: “That wizard came from the moon!”
The stealthy hero was, until recently, voiced by X-Men screenwriter David Hayter, although Kurt Russell (whose character Snake Plissken in the 1981 film Escape From New York was the inspiration) was allegedly up for the job. However, in 2015, Kiefer Sutherland took over the fabled role.
Karen Dyer’s day job is as a motion capture actress. However, whens she is not busy wearing sensors on her body to shoot films, she lends her voice to various characters including Sheva Alomar and Elena in the Street Fighter games.
