Pure Evil is one of the most desired street artists at the moment - to The Red Bulletin he reveals his 5 favourite cities to paint in

Charles Uzzell-Edwards, better known as Pure Evil is a name you should take note of. From his gallery in Shoreditch, East London, the graffiti artist travels the world leaving his iconic mark. There are some places that fuel his creative Geist more than others. Here are Pure Evil’s top five cities.

1 BARCELONA …

… is an amazing city, and although its city grunge has been cleaned up quite a bit, I still recommend it.

2 VALPAÍSO …

… is an incredible place to scope out and explore street art, it has everything. The street art has a sort of magic realism vibe to it. I recently visited it and painted a huge mural (see video below) …

Pure Evil goes Chile

In 2014 the world renowned artist has created a piece of mural art called “Love poem to Vaparaíso” in Chile

3 MOSCOW …

… is an interesting place to paint, tagging on walls there feels really naughty. The history of the place is really fascinating and the typography is really inspiring.

4 SAO PAULO …

… is incredible because the urban sprawl is just ASKING for graffiti. It’s the home of Pixacao, an unique type of letters originally inspired by heavy metal.

5 LONDON …

… for me is the mecca, it’s where I always return to… I love it. The battle between gentrification and street art is ON.
