What Happened to these Star Wars stars?

Being in one of the biggest movie franchises ever does not automatically guarantee a fruitful and successful Hollywood career. Here’s what happened to the actors that played some of the most iconic characters ever to grace the big screen 

Hayden Christensen

The Canadian actor’s performance as Anakin Skywalker was greeted with mixed reviews to say the least. He won the Cannes Film Festival Male Revelation award and the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Supporting Actor in the same year for Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. His most notable role since then was in 2008’s Jumper alongside Samuel L. Jackson. He’s recently been cast as Marco Polo in a film to be directed by Rob Cohen of The Fast and The Furious and Triple X fame. Could we be seeing more of Hayden in the future? 

Jake Lloyd 

Jake Lloyd retired from acting in 2001 with Anakin Skywalker the only role to his name. Stress and bullying were the reasons he gave for not wanting to continue his career as an actor, but he still continued to visit comic events and Star Wars conventions, giving interviews like the rather awkward one above. He was arrested and charged with reckless driving earlier in 2015 going under the name of Jake Broadbent. 

Billy Dee Williams

Billy Dee played Lando Calrissian in the first trilogy of films and continues to voice the character in various Stars Wars content. He has been very active since playing Lando, but his biggest other role was playing Harvey Dent in Tim Burton’s Batman. There are also rumours he wanted to reprise the role for 1995’s Batman Forever. Looking back on that trainwreck of a film, he’s probably happy it went to Tommy Lee Jones…
