Rev up and rally
Belfast, Northern Ireland

Last year almost 80,000 people travelled to the Circuit of Ireland Rally, and 30 million watched from their living rooms as the action unfolded at the only British or Irish leg of the European Rally Championship. This year the hallowed asphalt is also part of the British Rally Championship for the first time since 1991, when the race was won by legend Colin McRae

Maryhill Locks, Glasgow

Act of God
In cinemas

Blasphemous Belgian comedy The Brand New Testament opens in cinemas today. The film hilariously combines God, gorillas and moral guidance to tell the tale of a morally corrupt lord who lives in Brussels. Luckily, his daughter takes matters into her own hands.
